The Long Walk to Easter

As Christians across the world enter the season of Lent, our collective focus is on the small events that led to the single biggest event in human history: the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.

Over the centuries, one of the most helpful practices Christians have used to prepare their hearts for Easter has been to reflect on last steps Jesus walked on the way to his own execution. Along the way, scripture and tradition teach that Jesus experienced a series of events and encounters on this journey. We call these events and encounters the “Stations of the Cross.”

Over the next 6 weeks at First Christian Church of Oceanside, we will visit 6 of these stations as they are depicted in the gospels. This will give us a deeper understanding of the richness of this story and our own place in it.

Join us every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM, or follow along with the recorded audio online at our sermons page.
